We stand alongside Bay of Plenty whānau who need support with their homes - from essential repairs that keep families safe, to guiding the journey towards home ownership.
He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.
Since 1999, more than 100+ volunteers have helped us support 150+ whānau and complete 30+ homes across the Bay of Plenty.
See our impactWe believe every whānau deserves a safe, stable place to call home. Our two core programmes support families at different stages of their housing journey.
Essential repairs and upgrades that keep homes safe, warm, and liveable. From leaky roofs and rotting floors to electrical hazards - we make sure whānau can stay safely in their homes.
Guiding whānau on the path to owning a stable, long-term home. We provide wraparound support - from financial guidance and navigating applications to connecting families with the right resources.
Mahi Pai Foundation was founded in the Bay of Plenty with one purpose - to stand alongside whānau who need support with their homes. What started with a small group of dedicated volunteers has grown into an organisation that has helped hundreds of families.
We believe the strength of a community is built one home at a time. When whānau are safe, warm, and secure, everything else becomes possible - better health, education, and wellbeing for future generations.
He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata.
What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people, it is people.Every home we repair and every family we support is a story of real change. Here are some of the people we have been privileged to walk alongside.
Every decision is rooted in what is best for the whānau we serve in the Bay of Plenty.
Honest, transparent, and committed to doing what is right - always.
We meet families where they are, with empathy and genuine care.
Homes built for the long term - safe, secure, and kind to the environment.
Today marks a year since we put our new kitchen in. Honestly, Mahi Pai helped us see our value again. That we are worthy of good things. We sat in a pretty dark space for a while almost consumed by it but you paved the way out for us. Our whare has life, light and happiness again. There's laughter and kids baking every weekend. Big whānau meals. Togetherness again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I'll forever be grateful for what you did for us.
